There is something so magical about a winter wedding. You can never predict the snow here in Indianapolis. I was especially excited when I woke up for Jordan and Emily's wedding day and there was a beautiful white blanket of it covering the ground. AND more predicted to arrive for us on the wedding day!
Early last year, Emily called me after a recommendation from a friend in Northwest Indiana, where Jordan and Emily both grew up. We connected instantly and after their engagement session, I remembering telling Joe (my hubby) how relaxed and fun they were. Their wedding was no different; there were so many emotional moments (like Emily's first look with her dad) and SO. MUCH. FUN (the dance floor was hoppin' all night).
Jordan and Emily have endured a lot of long distance, as Jordan has pursued his career as a professional baseball player and Emily has excelled in her work here in Indianapolis. Their wedding was such a meaningful and romantic day for the two of them -- finally together. I asked Emily what influenced their wedding choices and she said:
I think for the wedding I want people to feel like they're downtown, in a large city. I wanted venue that's modern and chic. I wanted everything to be black and white with hints of gold, complimenting the New Year's Eve weekend holiday. I think what was most important to me in planning my wedding was just making it about what Jordan and I wanted. Making sure we had everyone we loved there, and just having one big party!
That is exactly what the evening was...
