I met Dan and Abbey many moons ago. They were kids, we knew their parents...then Senior pictures came along and before too long, they were engaged and the beautiful story of their lives have come to this new chapter. Dan is an engineer, finishing up his degree from Purdue. Abigail works as a nurse in NWI.
They'll tie the knot later this summer, at a beautiful up and coming wedding venue in Northern Indiana. (I can't wait to show you all the photos!) Until then, here are some beautifully romantic moments from their engagement session last weekend in Valparaiso:
I love to ask my couples to dance. There's usually a moment when they look at me and say Seriously? Ha. Yes. These are some of the most authentic smiles and fun moments. I love this lil' series:
Woah. Hello, chemistry.
Isn't this location gorgeous?! Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy in Chesterton is one of my favorite places in Northwest Indiana to shoot portraits. It's beautiful and has so much variety. Every season is different. Here are some from another area of the park:
Valparaiso is an adorable little town, nestled in between Chicago and the shores of Southern Michigan. Joe and I lived there for 8 years before we moved to Indy, so it still feels like home in many ways. Abbey loves the lights downtown at night, so we HAD to do it! We ended Dan + Abbey's engagement session with these stunning shots on Washington Street...
Dan + Abbey: I am so honored and excited to be a part of your big day. I'll try my best not to cry through the whole thing. Your sweet story, families and our history will make the day especially meaningful to me. Love you both. --Ash
