Josh + Samantha got married on a beautiful rainy day in April. Rain is good luck, after all. And the overcast skies and storms didn't stop this wedding from being a beautiful celebration for all of their family and friends.
Josh and Sam met at church and had a whirlwind love story, of which I've had the privilege of watching since the early stages. I met Josh several years ago--we both work with High School Student ministries at church together. I met Sam on my trip to India this past November--we ended up being roomies on that trip!
Both Josh and Same are incredibly kind, thoughtful people. When I heard they were dating, I was thrilled with the news. It was even more exciting when I was asked to photograph their wedding. Photographing your friends getting married is the best. It was especially fun to know many of the wedding party members and get to dance it up a bit when the reception rolled around.
I wasn't kidding when I said it was a rainy wedding day. We did a beautiful first look and the overcast skies made the greenery really pop. The whole bridal party was so supportive and positive. Nothing was going to stop Josh + Sam from committing their lives to each other!
After their beautiful ceremony, friends and family traveled downtown to enjoy cocktail hour. In the mean time, we sneaked away for some romantic moments with the NEW Mr. & Mrs.
Time for the party. The reception was held at The Rathskellar Restaurant, in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Known for it's German comfort food and rich history, it set a beautiful backdrop for celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Plitt!
Best wishes to you, Josh + Samantha! Your wedding day was just beautiful. --Ash
