Since I've been blogging about my trip to India, it's perfect timing to introduce Sam. She was on the team and we shared a room for several weeks, while we explored Northern India together. You get close on a trip like that--so, I am THRILLED to be photographing her wedding in April to Josh. Josh and I have known each other for several years, leading brother/sister small groups at church. It's SO fun to photograph your friends--SO fun. These two were no exception, laid back and present, excited to talk about their love story and wedding plans.
There are some things you should know about Josh & Sam. Their relationship has been a whirlwind--one of those "when you know, you know" kind of relationships. (That's what mine was with Joe, so the short engagement? I get that.) They both love to laugh and they do it a lot. They both love trail running, so Eagle Creek and Morse Reservoir were a familiar location for them.
We had gorgeous full sun on a warm winter day for this engagement shoot. And the sunsets in the winter never disappoint--there's a crispness to them. It was just beautiful. I love Eagle Creek and would say it's probably one of the more natural and beautiful "hidden gems" that Indianapolis has to offer. Since their reception will take place downtown, we wanted this shoot to feel really natural and outdoorsy.
Josh & Sam, I can't wait to capture your beautiful wedding day! I'm especially excited to see you in that gorgeous wedding dress, Sam. You'll be STUNNING. Congratulations, you two! <3 -ash
